French Knickers can be likened to wearing shorts with no underwear, giving a lovely sense of freedom which can also feel very sexy. Pair them with a suspender belt under pencil skirts and peplum style dresses for a real retro look. Tap pants are a cross between a slip and a pair of shorts, slightly longer than traditional French knickers falling midway between thigh and knee, popular with tap dancers because they are fitted at the waist and over the hips, but leave plenty of room for leg movement.  Either of these delightful retro styles are flattering and comfortable to wear allowing a freedom of movement that many modern women may not be used to, but once tried are usually hooked.
