There seems to be some conflicting reports on what legwear is going to be fashionable this year, will it be polka dots and textures, or understated nudes and natural colours?
Textured hosiery in bold stripes, funky patterns or lace detail gives legs a chance to be fashionable.
Hosiery sales are on the increase, says Sally Kay, president and CEO of The Hosiery Association. Kay says. "There is more of a tendency to go back to more ladylike, traditional dressing. 'Mad Men' has had an influence on this. Hosiery is coming back in vogue.”
"Textured hosiery right now is perfect for the cool weather months," says Gregg Andrews, Nordstrom fashion director.
Although the initial trend started by Kate Middleton has died down, we do have her to thank for the return of natural coloured tights which turned nude legs from old-fashioned and frumpy to high fashion must have.
